As the hitch wears it becomes necessary to remove washers to maintain the right adjustment on the link to the pump. A former Allis dealer set my `56 WD45 with a 3 bottom plow that way prior to plow day last fall. Traction Booster works perfect, just the way I remember it. HTH.

CA Steering box on C
All steering boxes will have the most wear on the position that the wheels are straight. The steering arm spline maybe different. The C has three non machined splines, and I have not looked at the CA steering arm to determine if they are the same. If they are different, the arm will have to come off of a model CA also.

Adjusting The Clutch
If you have the lower kick panel removed, there should be zero gap between the fork tips and the inching spool washer that they touch. An improperly adjusted cable will give you transmission brake issues, as the spool isn't being pulled out far enough to fully apply the trans brake. Thanks for the input Doc.

Suggest that you start by checking the spark right after it quits. It could be either the coil or condenser shorting after things heat up. Same thing applies to the fuel supply. as quick as possible after it stops running try draining fuel from the carb. A rebuilt carb should work fine but try removing the fuel filter.

Providing you USE the tractor say 4-5 hours at a time, it should recharge the battery fine. In my case I went alternator as my use is 10-15 minutes at a time. Gennys were designed to all day running to recharge the battery. have your generator rewound as 12 volt, or use one from Auto Zone for a 68 chevy pickup.
